ספר החיים - עיצוב





"ספר החיים" הוא סרט על... מוות. כן. והוא נעשה על ידי סטודיו REELFX המקסיקני (בחלקו) שהצליח להרים הפקה יפה באורך מלא. הסרט מבוסס על "חג המתים" המקסיקני בו אנשים נזכרים במתיהם ובכך מצילים אותם מלהגיע לעולמם של "המתים הנשכחים" שמנוהל על ידי זיבלבה השד הנורא.
הסיפור חמוד מאוד אבל הארט הוא החגיגה האמיתית. מעבר לצבעים הססגוניים, כל הדמויות בסרט מיוצגות על ידי בובות. אני מניח שזה נועד להקל על האנימציה אבל זה גם נראה נהדר.

איך עשו את זיבלבה השד:


ריל אנימציה של אחד האנימטורים. שימו לב לדמות של "יוצר הנירות". נראה לכם מוכר? לי מאוד. הוא דומה שתי טיפות מים לדמותו של הרב אמנון יצחק בגרסת האנימציה של טל גדון.

Maria Belongs to No One Here’s a development painting I did for the scene where Maria calls out Manolo and Joaquin for fighting over her. You’ll notice this dress isn’t the same one she wears during the movie. The amount of outfits she wears was simplified and this one was cut, which is a shame, because I really loved all the details on it.

alisketch: More Book of Life fun, a bunch of stuff I did for the Grandma character. She was originally designed by Sandra Equihua. On each character, the art team (and modeling) had the task of figuring out how to transfer their designs to a 3d object that still retained it’s original graphic appeal. This was also the first character I helped out on in the production, back when we were still doing texture swatch breakouts for each material on the character. She was extra fun to paint because she is so old and broken down, we decided to add a lot of detail to show her old age through her textures, so she’s very wobbly, uneven and knotted. Okay, more BOL posts later, but enough for today :)

sarahmarino: Here’s one of the lighting keys I did for Book of Life. I won’t say too much about it, since there is the potential for spoilers if I do, but I will say it was a lot of fun playing with the symbolism and subtlety in this scene!
